Kuerle is an important commercial center in the Xinjiang area of China. With modern conveniences like supermarkets, restaurants, shopping areas and hotels Kuerle makes a good base for exploring this agriculturally rich region. The Konqui River means an abundance of water and runs right through the heart of the city making it a very pretty place to stay. Kuerle has a large university and the students have an effect on the city giving it a youthful vibrancy. Being a city of modern construction the streets are clean and tidy and buildings modern. At night the lights of the city are bright and there is no end to the restaurants and bars available for visitors and locals alike to enjoy. The meat is rubbed with salt and then dipped in a combination of egg, scallions (spring onions) and pepper. Kebabs are popular both in hotels and restaurants as well as from street vendors. Pancakes, or Nang, are a staple food for the minority Uygur people and widely available. The Uygur also enjoy Sanzi which are deep fired dough twists pulled to form noodles. The Uygur make these in vast quantities to give to visitors during festivals. Rice dishes are very common as are roast fish dishes.
